Where Have All the Capitol Trees Gone?

In case you missed it, the Department of Administration successfully transplanted all 31 trees as planned with no fatalities. This process included the Gernikako Arbola “Tree of Guerinca” that moved to the grounds of the Cenerrusa Building. The picture-perfect spruce now sits in front of the Len B. Jordan Building as if it's expecting a snowman and sleigh to join it this December.

Is the Capitol Expanding?

Yes, the Capitol is expanding from it's current 199,000 Square feet to 251,000 with two 26,000 square foot underground additions. The Idaho State Capitol is largely unchanged since 1920 when the state's population was 430,000. Today's state population is above 1.5 million.
